Do you recognise your own beauty?
If someone asked you to describe yourself, what would you say? Do you see the beauty in yourself?
We recognize that in today’s modern world many of us undervalue the true beauty in ourselves. We see it in others but are harsh on ourselves. Our body is overworked and tired; it is understandable that sometimes we find it hard to feel beautiful. Celebrity magazines and social media filters constantly showcase what society deems beautiful, but here at No.6 we want you to determine your own beauty.
Beauty is happiness. It is simple. It is believing in yourself.
Welcome back Beth! We’re very happy to have Beth (senior aesthetician/therapist) back after 2 weeks leave for her Septorhinoplasty. Beth’s been kind enough to share her experience of her recent cosmetic surgery and share pictures with us…

I have been self-conscious about my nose since the age of 16. I’ve gained confidence with age (and discovered contouring ) so would no longer get upset by it but I still wasn’t happy. I finally decided in October 2016 that I would make the move to go ahead with the procedure.
I did some research, made some enquiries, decided on where I would go for my consultation and spoke to others who had the same procedure done. After my first consultation I was 100% sure I wanted to go ahead with it.
I booked an appointment with my surgeon the following month. Sr Lahoud answered all my questions before I’d asked them, drew diagrams to explain the procedure and discussed what we would change and realistic results. I have scar tissue from a previous operation and that can make it harder to get my desired results. We then booked the operation and pre-op.
Over the festive season we indulge in food and alcohol, travel the country, exercise less and stress over buying that perfect gift, all factors which can have direct effects on our body. After speaking to clients who have enjoyed facials at No.6 for years, Samantha added relaxing treatments to the menu so that clients can renew and restore their mind, body and spirit as well as their skin, all under our one roof!
Today Staff Nurse Haley is talking about Redensity I.
Redensity I is a light dermal filler with a unique combination of Hyaluronic Acid, powerful Antioxidents, Minerals, Vitamins and Amino Acids. It restores balance by adequately nourishing the skin from within allowing your skin rehydration, protection and redensification.
Hyaluronic Acid is an essential skin component. It acts like a sponge that retains water, keeps the skin moisturised, plumped and healthy.
The treatment is performed by Nurse Haley. To begin a numbing cream will be applied to cleansed skin. Once removed Haley will preform microinjections to the treatment area to ensure the product is spread evenly into the skin. Redensity I can be used to treat the face, neck, chest and hands.
A course of 3 treatments 3-4 weeks apart is recommended and approximately 2 treatments per year to maintain the results.
In combination with this treatment Haley is keen to promote appropriate and effective skincare at home. She always takes time to recommend a skincare regime that suits your individual needs.
A course of 3 treatments is £550 or each 1ml syringe is £200.
The importance of a good skincare regime, our No.6 golden rules….

Today we feature Carly’s top tips. Carly works every Monday at the No.6 Clinic and looks forward to welcoming you soon.
** Keeping your skin hydrated both internally and externally with drinking plenty of water and applying Dermaquest B5 serum which is a thirst quencher for the skin and helps retain moisture in the skin great for plumping fine lines and wrinkles!
** Protecting our skin throughout the year not just in the summer with a good quality SPF that contains zinc oxide which will safe guard and protect our skin from harmful UV and anti oxidants to scavenge free radicals which cause out skin to age!
** Using a Glycolic cleanser in the evenings will ensure a deep cleanse unblock pores and to increase cell turnover getting the best from our skin and increasing absorption for all of our other products that we use on the skin. Use a vitamin A product known as retinol on your skin, it can help in many different ways to improve your skin health.
** Vitamin A thickens and stimulates the dermis – where your collagen, elastin and blood vessels are – so it reduces wrinkles and increases blood flow to the surface of the skin. Vitamin A actually increases the deposition of collagen; therefore it slows the normal ageing breakdown of your collagen and elastin.
*** Always use a primer under your makeup to get the best application and a flawless finish!
** Try to have a course of peels throughout the year in combination with the Omnilux light treatment, our powerfacial, for a fresh looking, rejuvenated appearance to the skin!
